Background
Maltese are cheerful, active, merry extroverted and love companionship. This breed is patient but dislikes being forced or told to do anything.
Male and Female Maltese can grow anywhere from 8-10 inches and should weight 4 to 7 pounds. Malese tend to have a shorter life span and usually lives for nine to ten years.
Care and Exercise
This breed needs elaborate coat care, coats should be Shampooed at least once a week (especially around the eyes and mouth to avoid brown staining). Regular daily brushing of their clean coat is essential.
These pups need to only play and get exercise indoors; especially on colder or hotter days. Any short teacup like breeds are easily affected by bad weather.
